1. 우유의 특성을 고려한 재료와 개념 보완
본 조각(젖,2017)은 제작 이후 부패 되면서 곰팡이, 악취, 벌레 등으로 전형적인 아름다움에서 멀어져 갔다. 이를 역으로 우유를 영양과 순백의 물질에 대한 인간의 욕망으로 나타낼 수 있는 표현 방법으로서 바라보고자 한다. 그래서 하얀 커드에서 썩어가는 과정까지 작업으로 포함 시킬 계획을 세우게 되었다.
2. 구체적인 대상과 형태 설정
이전에는 인터넷의 익명 여성을 참조했지만, 재 창작에는 출산의 경험을 했거나 임신한 여성의 가슴을 캐스팅 할 예정이다. 임신을 기반으로 낙농업이 존재하기에, 이를 실제로 경험한 대상이여야 작업의 맥락에 더 적정할 것으로 본다. 그래서 나는 나의 친모의 신체를 캐스팅할 예정이다. 예상 형태는 소의 젖처럼 축 늘어진 가슴, 출산 후 호르몬과 수유로 인해 과도하게 부풀어진 유방의 모습이다. 먼저 석고 붕대로 대상의 가슴 전체를 캐스팅하고 그 위에 커드(고체화시킨 우유)를 완전하게 굳히는 방식을 예상한다. 기존의 작업처럼 정직한 여성 토르소 형태를 만드는 것이 아니라 두꺼운 껍질을 만들어 떠낼 것이다. 그래서 속이 비어있는, 동시에 공중에 걸려있는 디스플레이 방식을 그리고 있다. 껍데기의 연약함과 위태한 설치 방식에서 느껴지는 긴장감을 의도적으로 보여주고자 한다. 1.Supplementation of concepts and ingredients considering milk characteristics
This sculpture has decayed since its production and has become away from its typical beauty due to mold, bad smell and bugs. On the contrary, I would like to see milk as an expression that can be expressed as a human desire for nutrients and pure white substances. Therefore, I decided to include everything from the white curd to its rotting process in the work.
2. Specific target and morphology settings
Previously, I referred to an anonymous woman on the Internet, but I plan to cast breasts of a woman who has given birth or become pregnant in the recreation. Since dairy farming based on pregnancy exists, I thought it is considered appropriate depending on the context of the work, a woman who actually experienced delivery. So I plan to cast my biological mother's body.
The expected form is a breast drooping like cows’, and excessively swollen due to hormones and breastfeeding after childbirth. First, cast the entire chest with gypsum bandages and completely solidify the curd (solidified milk) on it. Instead of creating an honest female torso shape like the existing work, I will make a thick outer surface and scoop up inside. So, it will be a display of an empty inside and hung in the air. It is intended to show the weakness in the shell and the vitality that is felt through the dangerous installation method.
