왜 도시에서 닭의 소리는 들을 수 없는 걸까?
나는 그들의 소리를 도시에서 발성한다. 그래서 인간과 밀접히 연결되어 있지만, 우리의 사회에 부재한 대상을 나의 몸으로 가시화하고자 한다. 그 과정에서 닭 울음소리가 도시의 소리에 의해 지워지기도 하고, 충돌하기도 하는, 동시에 우리가 살고 있는 풍경을 낯선 존재의 소리와 함께 드러낸다.
Why can’t we hear the sound of chickens in the city? In urban cities, I vocalize their sounds. Therefore, I materialize with my body the beings that are closely related to humans but are absent in our society. In the process, the chicken cries are often muffled by or collide with city noises—manifesting the scenes of our surroundings with unfamiliar sounds.
