The project focuses more on practicing the ecological characteristics of chickens, rather than on mimicking their sounds. Chickens have a body part (pineal gland) that makes crying sounds when light is detected. In reflecting on this characteristic, I installed a light bulb that goes off at the time of sunrise and made a routine of making chicken sounds every morning. Such practice makes use of repetitive patterns to manifest a moment and space where humans and chickens intersect and dissolve the border that separates one from another.
